Classical Greece in 7 Days: Athens, Delphi and Meteora — Alexander the Great

7 Days / 6 Nights

Description

A 7-day, 6-night cultural route through Athens, Epidaurus, Mycenae, Olympia, Delphi and Meteora. Includes an Acropolis visit and a 4-day classical circuit with specified admission tickets.

Alexander the Great is a complete cultural tour of some of the most iconic places in mainland Greece. The journey begins in Athens, where a panoramic tour of the city is held with entrance to the famous Acropolis, one of the great symbols of Greek civilization.

From the capital begins a classic four-day circuit through the Peloponnese and Meteora. The route includes a stop at the Corinth Canal and continues to Epidaurus, famous for the extraordinary acoustics of its ancient theater, and Mycenae, where you will see the prehistoric Acropolis, the Lion Gate and the Tomb of Agamemnon.

The tour continues to Olympia, birthplace of the Olympic Games, to visit the Sanctuary of Zeus, the ancient Olympic Stadium and its Archaeological Museum. It then continues to Delphi, considered in antiquity the center of the world, with a visit to its archaeological site and museum, where the famous bronze statue of the Charioteer stands out.

The experience culminates in Meteora, one of the most impressive landscapes in Greece, where historic monasteries rise above gigantic rock formations. After the visit, return to Athens to end a journey that combines history, archaeology, culture and some of the most extraordinary landscapes in the country.
