Day 2
SEOUL
Breakfast. Departure to visit Gyeongbokgung Palace. Located in northern Seoul, it was built in 1395 and was the main royal palace of the Joseon dynasty. We head to Bukchon Hanok Village, a residential neighborhood in the Jongno district known for its dozens of restored traditional Korean houses, called hanok. We end the morning at Jongmyo Shrine, the oldest and most authentic of the preserved Confucian royal shrines. It still hosts rituals that combine music and dance, perpetuating a tradition that dates back to the 14th century. After lunch, we head to Jogyesa Temple, the main temple of the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism. The building dates from the late 14th century and has become a landscaped area with a white pine more than 500 years old. We continue to Seoul Tower (Namsan Tower), a communications and observation tower located on Mount Namsan in the central region, which marks the highest point of Seoul. We end the day exploring the shops and trying street food in Myeongdong, one of the most vibrant shopping districts in Seoul. Return to the hotel. Overnight.
Day 3
SEOUL
Breakfast. We begin the morning by visiting one of the most beautiful and historically important of Seoul's five royal palaces: Changdeokgung Palace, the Palace of Illustrious Virtue. Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it is known for its tranquil garden and its traditional Korean architecture and design that incorporates the surrounding landscape. We continue to Starfield COEX Mall, an underground shopping center. The name COEX is derived from “COnvention centers” and “EXhibition halls.” It has an area of about 154,000 square meters, of which 144,000 square meters are on a single underground floor, making it the largest underground shopping center in the world. After lunch, we head to Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP), a major landmark of urban development in Seoul, with a distinctly neofuturistic design. It features a pedestrian rooftop park, large spaces for global exhibitions, futuristic shops and restored parts of the Seoul Fortress Wall. The DDP has been one of the main reasons Seoul was designated World Design Capital in 2010. Next, we will visit Han River Park, the most famous of Seoul's parks and located right in the heart of the city. We end the trip with a visit to the Lotte World Tower, the tallest building in South Korea. Go up to the observatory and enjoy the views of the illuminated city. Return to the hotel. Overnight.

Day 5
SEOUL / BUSAN
Breakfast. Departure for the DMZ (Korean Demilitarized Zone), a military demarcation zone between North Korea and South Korea, where military activities are prohibited. We begin with Imjingak, a symbol of Korea's desire for reunification and a unique theme park that offers walks along barbed-wire fences. It houses historic relics such as the Freedom Bridge, used by 13,000 prisoners of war in search of freedom, and the smokestack of a Korean War steam locomotive, abandoned for 55 years. We continue to the Dora Observatory, which offers a close-up view of North Korea, including the city of Gaeseong and a fake border village called Propaganda Village, where the lights are manipulated to create the illusion of activity. We continue our journey by train to Busan. Transfer to the hotel. Overnight.
Day 6
BUSAN
Breakfast. We begin the day by visiting Haedong Yonggung Temple, one of the few in Korea located on the seafront. It is very popular, especially during the celebrations of Buddha's birthday, when the complex is decorated with paper lanterns. It honors Haesu Gwaneum Daebul, the Sea Goddess, the Buddha of Mercy. Continuation to Jagalchi Market to experience the food culture. This seafood and fish market is the largest in South Korea and stretches 3 kilometers along the coast. In addition to dried anchovies and fresh fish, the famous vendors, called “Jagalchi Ajumma,” sell herbal and animal-based remedies. The market hosts the Busan Jagalchi Festival in autumn. The festival's motto is “Oiso! Boiso! Saiso!” (“Come! Look! Buy!”). We continue to Gukje Market, a traditional market to buy local products, souvenirs and culinary specialties. The market was famously portrayed in the Korean film of the same name from 2014 (English title: Ode to My Father). The film was one of the highest-grossing in the history of South Korean cinema. We end the day at Gamcheon Cultural Village, a colorful village with row houses, murals and unique art galleries. The area is known for its stepped streets, winding maze-like alleys and brightly painted houses. Built on the slope of a steep mountain, the village has been nicknamed the “Santorini of Korea” and the “Machu Picchu of Busan.” Return to the hotel. Overnight.
Day 7
BUSAN
Breakfast. Departure for Taejongdae Park, a natural park at the southernmost point of the Busan district. It is an excellent viewpoint overlooking the ocean, with an amusement park, a lighthouse and a cruise terminal. We continue to Haeundae Beach, considered the most beautiful beach in Busan and a tourist paradise in summer, with its crystal-clear waters, calm sea and white sand. Relax on this famous beach or stroll through the nearby market to try local snacks and drinks. We continue to the Busan Cinema Center, the epicenter of the Busan International Film Festival and a modern architectural gem. The complex contains a theater, indoor and outdoor cinemas, convention rooms, offices, creative studios and dining areas in a combination of connected indoor spaces. We end the day admiring the night lights of Gwangandaegyo Bridge (Diamond Bridge). Gwangandaegyo is a suspension bridge that connects the Haeundae district with the Suyeong district. It has an approximate length of 6,500 meters, and the bridge as a whole measures 7,420 meters. It is the second-largest bridge in the country. Return to the hotel. Overnight.
