FEZ
Breakfast at the hotel. Fez is the oldest imperial city in Morocco. Founded in 808, it was the capital of the kingdom several times. The labyrinth of streets of the preserved medieval city (called Fez el-Bali) is considered the largest car-free urban area in the world. It transports us to a completely different world. Like something out of a movie. There are two more parts of the great city of Fez besides the medina: the 13th-century city (Fez el-Jedid) and the Ville Nouvelle (home to the business center, with modern avenues, hotels and restaurants). The most outstanding sights in Fez are undoubtedly the medina, the souks (markets), the area where the leather tanners work, the Royal Palace, the Mellah (the old Jewish quarter) and the oldest university in the world. Visit to the Quranic madrasa dating from the Marinid era, as well as the exterior of the Karaouine Mosque and the shrine of Moulay Idriss, the founder of the city. The visit ends with a tour of various craft workshops and bazaars of the old medina, return to the hotel, free time, dinner and overnight.
