Start with the map when choosing a Vietnam tour. An eight-day route can focus on Hanoi, Sapa and Ha Long; a ten-day route can keep that core and add Hoi An. The difference goes beyond two extra days: it changes the departure point, adds a flight and broadens the experiences.

Vietnam Maravilloso and Vietnam Fantástico are two active programs in Let’s Travel's catalog that allow you to compare these alternatives.

EIGHT DAYS FOCUSED ON THE NORTH

Vietnam Maravilloso divides seven nights between Hanoi, Sapa and Ha Long, including an overnight bay cruise. It provides three nights in Hanoi, two in Sapa, one hotel night in Ha Long and one night on board.

Distinguish the hotel night from the cruise night. When comparing other proposals, check how many nights are actually spent on the boat and which activities are included during the cruise.

The circuit returns to Hanoi before departure. The first day mentions arrival from Phuket; if you are starting from your home country, request an adapted and confirmed arrival service. Do not interpret that reference as an included international flight.

TEN DAYS TO ADD HOI AN

Vietnam Fantástico retains Sapa and Ha Long and adds three nights in Hoi An. The published distribution includes two nights in Hanoi, two in Sapa, one hotel night in Ha Long, one cruise night and three in Hoi An.

Day seven connects the Ha Long and Hanoi area with onward travel toward Hoi An. Day eight includes a cooking class in Tra Que, a basket-boat ride and a walking tour of Hoi An's old town according to the itinerary.

This alternative may interest you if you want to add food-related activities and a stay in central Vietnam. The published route does not include Ho Chi Minh City: ten days do not automatically mean a complete north-to-south tour.

IDENTIFY THE DOMESTIC FLIGHT

Vietnam Fantástico lists a domestic flight as “Ha Noi–Hoi An,” with the price subject to reconfirmation. Ask the quote to specify the actual airports, baggage allowance and transfers connecting with the hotel.

The trip ends in the Hoi An area. If you buy an international round-trip ticket through Hanoi, ask which additional connection you need and how much it costs. Also compare arriving and departing through different cities.

LANGUAGE AND CRUISE SERVICES

Both programs describe a local Spanish-speaking guide for visits, with an important exception in Ha Long: cruise operations may be in English, with Spanish or Portuguese subject to availability.

The overnight cruise is listed with full board excluding drinks, and kayaking is not included in the descriptions checked. If an activity is essential to you, request written confirmation before choosing the boat.

HOW TO DECIDE

Consider eight days if you want to focus on the north and finish in Hanoi. Consider ten if Hoi An and its activities justify an additional flight and departure from a different area.

Request the total cost with flights, taxes and confirmed services. For entry requirements, use official information for your nationality and travel date in addition to the agency's guidance.
